‘Josh Ritter’ Vinyl Now Available

I’m totally excited to announce that my debut record, aptly titled “Josh Ritter,” is now available on vinyl in indie stores, Amazon, and our website starting today.

Even though it was sixteen (!) years ago, I remember so much about making this record. Darius, Zack and I rehearsed in the basement of my college house. The ceiling was so low that Zack had to play his double bass crouched way down to avoid hitting it. Because we had so few mics, the engineer often had to walk one of them around the studio to capture the different instruments. An optimist, I ordered two thousand CDs from the plant. When they came I couldn’t believe the number of boxes. It took me years to sell and give away all those records.

I never thought about what my life would be like sixteen years later, or how much of a part that record would play in defining my relationship with music, my band, and those who chose to listen to those defining early songs.

I’ve always been proud of it, but even more so today. I hope you enjoy!

P.S. – Tomorrow is Record Store Day so stop by your favorite local shop and show your support!
